Electronic voice phenomenon, usually referred to as EVP, is one of the most common forms of evidence captured today. An EVP is a voice, or some semblance thereof, that was not heard at the time of recording. Due to the wide range of quality in EVP's, a number of grading systems exist. While it is possible to catch a crystal clear voice that does not match anyone present at the time of recording the clarity is often very low. Many times the voice can only be heard through earphones or with the use of digital enhancement software that allows one to filter down to, or pull out, the phenomena. Sometimes it may be fairly simple to understand what the voice is saying, but more often than not different people will hear different things.

Please check out our EVP and audio clips (not ALL are EVP) and let us know what you think!

Woodcarvers Club - Converse, Indiana

The Eastern Woodland Carvers Club in Converse, Indiana, is known in the local paranormal community simply as Woodcarvers. The Woodcarvers club is also known in the local paranormal community as one of the best ‘hot spots’ in Indiana. Various groups have investigated Woodcarvers and various groups have captured unexplainable phenomena during their investigations. In fact, some very impressive video, photographic and audio evidence has been captured by some of the most experienced groups in Indiana. The buildings history has strong ties to the mysterious as it has been used by the Order of the Odd Fellows, the Freemasons and even the Ku Klux Klan, according to our host, author Bob Freeman. This recording was captured on the top floor of the building while two investigators were moving from a small room towrads the stairs. Some of us believe this clip sounds like an animal, but we did not see any live animals in the building during our visit and the investigators did not comment on hearing the noise. See what you think!

Woodcarvers Club - Converse, Indiana

This clip was captured in the 'Craft Room' while a couple of investigators were actually chatting about lunch. This clip seems to contain a voice that we cannot account for at all. There were no children in the building on the night of our investigation. According to our host, Bob Freeman, there are many reports of a small child entity that makes herseldf known from time to time. Many of us believe this sounds like a childs voice, but cannot determined what he/she is trying to say. See what you think!

Central State - Indianapolis, Indiana

This recording was captured in the west wing of the basement in the Administration Building at the old Central State Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. Todd was standing in the doorway of a room while Ben was inside the room, about five or six feet away and off to the right. Todd heard this noise very close to his left ear. Because he heard it at the time, this is not classified as an EVP. But it is an audio clip of something we certainly cannot explain. Let us know what you think!

This version is the 'sigh' isolated and slightly enhanced for you. Huge thanks to Thom Bailey for giving us a hand with the audio clips from Central State!
Central State - Indianapolis, Indiana

This recording was also captured in the west wing of the Administration Building at the old Central State Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. This one was captured on the first floor. While Ben and Todd were moving out of one room they heard a very loud noise coming from one of the floors above them. At the time, they both thought it sounded like furniture being scooted across the floor! This clip is a portion of the noise that was captured at the time. Again, since they heard it, it cannot be classfied as an EVP. By the way, they searched the floors above them immediately and found no one or nothing to explain the noises they heard. Let us know what you think it sounds like!

We only uploaded the original version of this clip because we feel the original version is the best! Again a huge thanks to Thom Bailey for giving us a hand with the audio clips from Central State!
Central State - Indianapolis, Indiana

This is yet another recording captured in the west wing of the Administration Building at the old Central State Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. This time, all five of the people in the building were together (in the same spot as the last clip) when they heard the same sound of what we origianlly thought to be furniture moving on one of the floors above us. The sound was not nearly as loud, but you can still hear it. Towards the middle of this long clip you can hear Darren and Todd softly discussing the difference in volume. Keep in mind that this is not classified as an EVP because we could hear it while recording. Again, we searched the floors above and found no explanation for the noises we were hearing. Let us know what you think they are!

Once again we feel like the original version, though harder to hear, is good enough. So we did not load an enhanced version of this clip. Huge thanks to Thom Bailey for giving us a hand with the audio clips from Central State!

The CRUMP Theatre - Columbus, Indiana

This recording was captured in the 'Crying Room' of the Crump Theatre, Columbus, Indiana. You will hear one investigator describing how she felt when she entered this room earlier that evening, while on the tour. She is describing how the floor seemed to be 'bouncing'. The guest investigator that she is speaking to says 'yeah', very quickly, then says it again towards the end of this segment of audio. The team leader in the room is announcing the EVP session by stating who is in the room. Listen closely as something in the background is heard from just before she says the investigator's names.  What is said seems to be said in a long, drawn-out voice. Please tell us what you think.

This version has been cleaned up and amplified slightly.

Prospect Place Mansion - Set 1
This recording was captured on the third floor of the barn at Prospect Place Mansion. You will hear an investigator ask, "What year did you die?" After a pause you will hear a voice that was not accounted for at the time. For the original recording you will likely need headphones to hear the words. We believe it may say, 'I'm a logger.'
This version is enhanced slightly. We have added an FFT Filter and increased the volume for the section the voices occurs.

Prospect Place Mansion - Set 2
This recording was captured in the basement of Prospect Place Mansion. You will hear one of our investigators ask, "Were you a ranch hand?" After a couple of unidentified clicks you will hear a voice that appears to say, 'ranch hand.' This EVP is very faint.
This version is enhanced slightly. We have added an FFT Filter and increased the volume for the section the voices occurs.

Prospect Place Mansion - Set 3
This is a different recording captured in the basement by the same investigators. You will hear our investigator ask, "Can you tell us what role you played in the history of this house?" After a pause you will hear a voice that appears to say, 'ranch hand' once again, or 'rancher.' This EVP is a little more clear, but still difficult to hear.
This version is enhanced slightly. We have added an FFT Filter and increased the volume for the section the voices occurs.

Prospect Place Mansion - Set 4
This recording was also captured in the basement of Prospect Place Mansion. In the beginning, you will hear what sounds like footsteps on a dirt floor and another noise that may best be described as what sounds like an industrial stapler. We do not have an explanation for either of those noises, and the investigators state no one was moving at this time. Directly following the stapler sounds you will hear what appears to be a scream, and then one of our investigator makes a comment.
This version has been modified by adding an FFT filter.

Private Residence - Indianapolis, Indiana
This recording was captured at a private residence in Indianapolis. You will hear one of our founders as, "If there is an entity here can you show us some sign of your presence?" After a short pause you will hear a voice that is not accounted for. The voice appears to say, 'can you hear me.' This particular phrase seems to be repeated three times during this EVP session, though we have only posted one on the website. At the time, only two investigators were present in the home.
This version has been modified by applying filters.
